Michael Strübin

Works as an eHealth consultant based in Brussels.
From 2006 to 2008 he served as Executive Director of the EMEA office of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), an international association representing 20,000 members. Michael oversaw the organisation and marketing of the annual World of Health IT Conference Exhibition, and developed relationships with the European Commission, the WHO, and other major ehealth organisations. Prior to HIMSS, Michael worked in international foundation networks.
At the European Foundation Centre (2003-2006), Michael managed the communications and knowledge management for WINGS, an international network of grant maker associations. At the International Youth Foundation (2000-2003), he ran among others a twelve-country corporate social responsibility project supported by Nokia. From 1996 to 2000 Michael worked with various social development organisations in the United States, Poland and Germany. Michael holds an M.A. in International Relations (1996) from American University in Washington, DC.
